Welcome Sporadic 'E' in 2004
May 10th:
The 2004 Es season started pretty early. Comparing to the years before
2003 was almost an outbreak
but 2004 looks very promising too. I checked the last 25 years
in my Dubus collection
and didn't find any Sporadic 'E' on 144 MHz earlier than May 10th,
but 2004 started on May 2nd. Thats something and perhaps the OM
from LZ was right with his prediction....?
October: To sum the season we must say that 2004 was not bad but far
away from 2003 when we had that "almost outbreak".
Big surprise was the very rare November 10. opening following huge
geomagnetic disturbances. |
